Jude Webber is the Financial Times' Ireland correspondent, based in Dublin but also covering Northern Ireland and all things Brexit for the island of Ireland. She moved to Ireland in 2021 after a fascinating 21 years in Latin America covering much of the region in different roles for Reuters reporting on everything from the fall of Alberto Fujimori in Peru to heterodox economics in Argentina to the victory of populism in Mexico. Prior to joining the FT in 2007, she spent 15 years at Reuters news agency in a variety of foreign postings including as Peru bureau chief and in Rome, Madrid, London and Dublin. She holds a first-class degree in Modern Languages from Oxford University.
