Director of Interoperability - Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Europe

Senior Consultant and founder of IN-SYSTEM, Karima Bourquard assists several regional/national projects on teleradiology and telemedicine or cooperation between Healthcare Professionals. She has a solid background on Healthcare IT as eHealth Project director and in eHealth interoperability expertise.
During the last 20 years, she contributed to the creation and development of IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) in France and in Europe. She is User Cochair of IHE-France and was IHE User Cochair of IHE-Europe (www.ihe-europe.net). She is member of IHE international. Nowadays as director of Interoperability at IHE-Europe and board Member of InteropSanté in France, she is working for IHE EU-Affairs committee where she is managing European projects such as epSOS, Antilope, eHGI, EURO-CAS and contributes also on national eHealth programs in several European and international countries and she is involved in accreditation programs for testing conformity of products with international standards or profiles.
From 2000 to 2009, she led several projects on IT specifications for hospitals (Patient Identification, EHR, Security, Healthcare Professional directory, change Mangement,…) as director of Studies in GMSIH, a national organization that were developing specifications for HIS and for eHealth interoperability based on the international IHE profiles.
